Tunisia
Tunisia has been a recipient country of the Global Fund since 2007 and has signed over US$43 million in grants for HIV and TB programmes. In addition, Tunisia is part of the following Global Fund supported multicountry grants – Multicountry MENA HRA and Multicountry MENA Key Populations.
Tunisia is part of the Breaking Down Barriers Initiative which was initiated in 2020 as part of the operationalisation of Strategic Objective 3 of the Global Fund Strategy 2017 – 2022, the . A Baseline Assessment was conducted in 2018 and a Mid-Term Assessment was released in 2021. The Initiative supported Tunisia in adopting its National Strategic Plan to Reduce Human Rights-Related Barriers to HIV Services: Tunisia 2019 – 2023.
