A Fond Farewell to Niluka Perera: Celebrating Six Remarkable Years of Dedication
It is with a mix of pride and nostalgia that we bid farewell to a cherished member of our team, Niluka Perera (Advocacy, Programmes and Coordination Officer) who has been an integral part of GFAN AP for the past six years. We reflect on the journey we’ve shared and express our deepest gratitude for the unwavering commitment, dedication, and excellence Niluka has brought to our organisation.
Throughout the years, Niluka has worn many hats, seamlessly transitioning between roles and responsibilities with grace and proficiency. His versatility has been an impactful force behind the success of numerous projects and initiatives, and their impact has been felt across all corners of the work we do. Fostering collaboration and camaraderie within the team and with all GFAN AP partners and stakeholders, Niluka has been a true rock and a source of inspiration for us all.
As Niluka embarks on a new chapter in their professional journey, we want to take a moment to express our sincere appreciation for the immense contributions made to our organisation and movement in the Asia-Pacific. The leadership, dedication, and passion exhibited by Niluka have left an ever-lasting mark on our team, and we are grateful for the positive influence he has had on our workplace culture.
It is not without a touch of sadness that we say our goodbyes, but we are also filled with excitement for Niluka as he takes on a new challenge with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund) in the Community, Rights and Gender (CRG) Department. We have no doubt that his exceptional skills and expertise will shine in his new role, and we wholeheartedly wish Niluka nothing but success and fulfillment.
Niluka, you will be greatly missed, but your impact on our organization will endure. May your journey ahead be filled with continued success, growth, and the same level of joy you’ve brought to our team.
We invite all members of the GFAN family to join us in celebrating Niluka’s achievements and extending our warmest wishes for the future.
Please feel free to share your thoughts, memories, and well-wishes in the comments below as we bid adieu to a remarkable colleague and friend who we know will continue to remain an ally and friend even beyond his role at GFAN AP.
