Thanking Asia-Pacific Partners for Driving HIV, TB and Malaria Advocacy in 2024
The Global Fund Advocates Network Asia-Pacific (GFAN AP) extends deepest appreciation to all national, regional and global partners for collaborations and partnership in 2023 that have enabled and empowered the movement and marks remarkable camaraderie and solidarity for health advocacy related to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund).
Mobilising Momentum for the Global Fund Eight Replenishment
Held during the margins of the Annual Meeting of the Global Fund Advocates Network (GFAN) held from 20th to 22nd March 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand, the GFAN Annual Meeting brought together nearly 100 activists and advocates. The Embassy Event held on 22 March 2024 co-organized by the Global Fund Advocates Network Asia-Pacific (GFAN AP), Seven Alliance, AIDES, and Coalition Plus with strong support from the Embassy of France in Thailand aimed to leverage diplomatic missions and health advocates in mobilizing resources and shaping public health policies.

GFAN AP is seeking a colleague to expand and strengthen its advocacy, policy and coordination efforts to support activities in line with its Theory of Change to involve and reach targeted key audiences including communities and civil society, donor countries, governments and parliamentarians, and the private sector and private foundations in Asia-Pacific.
World Tuberculosis Day 2024
On 24th March 2024, the world commemorates World Tuberculosis (TB) Day with a resolute spirit, affirming that “Yes, We Can End TB”. The Asia-Pacific region continues to have the highest TB burden. Over 80% of the TB infection and TB-related death happens in low- and middle-income countries. In particular, the Southeast Asia region carries the highest TB burden among all regions with 46% of all new TB infections.
