A regional Action was coordinated and led by the Asia-Pacific Network of People Living with HIV (APN+), and supported by APCASO.

Delivery of the Letters to Embassies

Letters were sent or delivered in meetings to the Embassies of Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, European Union Delegation to Thailand, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

Meeting with Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany

On the 13th February 2019, representatives of APCASO and APN+ met with the Deputy Head of Mission of the Germany Embassy in Bangkok to express appreciation and love for their support to the Global Fund and to call on them to pledge early and increase their pledges to the Global Fund for the Sixth Replenishment! 

Meeting with Embassy of the French Republic

On the 14th February 2019, representatives of APCOM, APTN, Rainbow Sky Association of Thailand met with French Ambassador to Thailand, Jacques Lapouge thanking France for hosting the upcoming Sixth Replenishment Meeting of the Global Fund to be held on the 10th October 2019 in Lyon, and calling for France to remain committed to fully funding the Global Fund!

Meeting with Embassy of the United States of America

On the 14th February 2019, representatives from APN+, APTN, APCASO and the Regional Malaria CSO Platform met with Kelly Mitchel-Clark as part of the Valentine’s Day of Action calling the US Government to fully fund the Global Fund!

Meeting with Embassy of Canada

On the 14th February 2019, representatives of APCASO, APTN, APN+, Thai Youth Living with HIV Network and Thai Transgender Alliance met with Counsellor Ayesha Rekhi from the Canadian Embassy to call on them to #stepupthefight and #lovemoregivemore!
