Kosovo
Kosovo has been a recipient of Global Fund investments since 2006, and so far has been disbursed over US$ 25.6 million for programmes for Tuberculosis, HIV and TB/HIV.
Based on projected transitions from Global Fund country allocations by 2028 (March 2021), Kosovo as an upper-middle-income country with Not High disease burden for HIV and TB has received transition funding for the 2020 – 2022 allocation period.
A report “Improving the allocative efficiency of Kosovo’s HIV response” in published in April 2019 highlighted that past investments have had an impact on maintaining low HIV prevalence in Kosovo, and risked the achievement of the UNAIDS 90-90-90 targets.
