Vietnam
Vietnam has been a recipient country of the Global Fund since 2004 and has signed over US$ 662.9 million worth of grants for HIV, TB, Malaria and RSSH programmes, and to date (1st Apr 2022) has been disbursed US$ 586 million. Vietnam is also part of the following multicountry grants Multicountry Asia IHAA, Multicountry East Asia and Pacific APN, Multicountry East Asia and Pacific RAI and Multicountry TB Asia TEAM supported by the Global Fund.
Viet Nam has made significant progress in reducing the burden of HIV, TB and malaria and has shown strong political commitment to combatting these diseases. Global Fund grants have contributed to declining disease burdens by providing antiretroviral treatment to over 40% of the people living with HIV, supporting tuberculosis detection and treatment and preparing for malaria elimination.
